What Happens if We Receive an Alien Signal Part 2

Now we are looking at part 2 of my article on alien contact. In part 1 we discussed some of the possible ramifications of contact in general, and what options there are for informing the public, and how this would be accomplished.

Part 1 deals primarily with that of receipt and verification that the signal is indeed from an extraterrestrial source. In part 2, we deal with another possible way of meeting aliens; direct contact. This means that contact is visible and without a warning. For instance, a giant alien ship appears over one of Earth's largest cities with no prior warning.
