This seems to be the year of UFOs and planes. There have been numerous videos taken of alleged UFOs from passenger jets, and reports of UFOs in and around airports.
On Tuesday of this week, the pilot of a US Airways jet in landing mode at Philadelphia International Airport reported an unknown object whizzing by his plane. The airport was closed for 30 minutes to make sure no further security actions should be taken.
The FAA and the FBI are investigating. Official statements say the object could have been a flare launched from the ground, but an investigation by the Philadelphia Police turned up nothing.
